     My name is Dusto. My pedigree is classic angel; I am an all-white rescued cat from Queen Latifa's parking lot with an irresistible silent meow.  Thanks to Dr. Janet Ficarro at the Downtown Veterinary Clinic in Chelsea (New York City), I'm still here to tell my story. Three years ago, after a battle royal with a feral cat, of no distinction, I ended up with over 200 stitches.
     It sounds bad, and it was, but look at me now, research kitty for cat-care extraordinaire, CatAround .
     I, too, was once the feral dude. This is why it's so important for all you belles and dudes to listen up: we have hope. We are so lucky to have great organizations such as the Mayor's Alliance for NYC's Animals, Animal Haven, City Critters, HappyPets.org, The Humane Societies, Bide-a-Wee, The ASPCA, North Shore Animal League, and all the other Rescue and Adoption organizations around the world looking out for us. Believe you me, we thank you.

     But I digress. When I lived out in Jersey City, I could mark my territory anywhere, but at home with my new family I needed a cat behavior training aid – so the CatAround Corner Saver was born.

     I take full credit for spearheading this inspired — patent pending — behavior modification device and protective scratching post, all-in-one.

CatAround, Corner Saver™ solves a long-standing problem
Corner Saver is a patent-pending corner protector · furniture saver · cat scratcher that saves and protects the corners of furniture and/or walls from being shredded by a cat's natural behavior — scratching.

Works like a Personal Trainer for your Cat
Your cat gets a full range-of-motion workout — stretching tall, stretching long, stretching the abdominals and hindquarters. Once kitty is keen, you can choose to “step” the multi-position Corner Saver away from the sofa or not. 

When to use it:
The Corner Saver is the best choice to satisfy your cat's scratching needs. Use it anywhere you would use a sisal rope pedestal, cat condo, cat trees, traditional scratch poles, kitty play parks, kitty gyms or furniture tape. With the Corner Saver, cat owners can get back to enjoying the positive health benefits of owning a companion animal. Starting kittens on the Corner Saver makes a happy home for years to come.

Product Configuration
The Corner Saver is manufactured with a sisal hinge which allows it to be easily folded into many configurations -- from a 90° angle all the way down to a 10° angle. Finally, the Corner Saver functions vertically to make a freestanding traditional scratching post.

Quick & Easy At Home Assembly
Tools Not Included: You need a screwdriver and a little patience. 

Turn the hinged vertical column upside down. (The unfinished edge should be turned up to your face.) Take note of the pre-drilled holes in the vertical columns. 

On the base pieces, drop enclosed screws through the pre-drilled holes.  Now match the inserted screws with the pre-drilled holes on the base of the vertical column.

Finally, tighten down the screws until the vertical and horizontal surfaces are touching each other firmly.  The Corner Saver is now assembled.

Instructions for Use:
The Corner Saver can be placed directly at the site of attack.  It securely wraps around any corner position where your cat yearns to scratch. Once your cat is using it regularly, you can begin repositioning the Corner Saver to the location of your choice. Or if you chose leave it next to the sofa for 24/7 protection.

As you move the Corner Saver away from the furniture, pause at each step along the way and congratulate your cat for accepting the scratcher's new position. Once the cat accepts a new position you can then move your furniture saver, another step closer to its permanent location.  If the cat goes back to your furniture, move the Corner Saver back for full coverage protection and begin the training process again. It takes time to break bad habits — be patient, it's worth it. Don't forget to congratulate them on their discovery. Cats love the praise.

Easy care
The Corner Saver is for indoor use only. Do not steam clean. Vacuum regularly — blot up fresh stains with a dry cloth. Do not expose to rainfall or allow the product to become water saturated (i.e. sisal is not for bathroom, sauna, Jacuzzi, uncovered patio decks, swimming pools or roof top patios).
